FREDONIA, N.Y -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team completed the weekend sweep, defeating Plattsburgh 65-45 on Saturday. Seniors
Payton Gilbert and
Kailee Bladin were honored prior to the game in the team's annual Senior Night celebration.
Aliyah Hopkins' productive night saw her score 16, grab nine boards, and dish our four assists.
Grace Alexander added 15 points and five assists, while
Jayssa Snelick achieved her seventh double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 assists.
The Devils improve to 8-7 in the SUNYAC and 13-9 overall. The win moves them up one spot in the conference standings. Check out the latest

After eeking out a five-point lead at the break, a strong second half by the Blue Devils propelled the team to the decisive victory. They outscored the Cardinals 33-18 in the frame.
Plattsburgh (14-9 / 9-7 SUNYAC) had three players score a team-high nine points -- Jaden Wilson, Julia Greek, and Imani Walcott.
The Devils once again dominated the boards, outrebounding the Cardinals 43-30.
Jakeira Stackhouse led the Devils with 11, while also adding eight points.
Next up for the Blue Devils is a Tuesday home contest vs. Cortland that will serve as a makeup for an earlier-season postponement.
