Futch, Sample have big days

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Pole vaulter Jacob Futch achieved a SUNYAC-leading height in the pole vault, and Cam Sample now ranks No. 12 in all of Division III in the long jump following Friday's meet at Brockport.

Futch cleared 4.47m in the pole vault, which also puts him in eighth place in school history. He finished seventh on the day.

Sample cleared 7.23m which ranks second all-time in school history and second at the meet. 

Other top performers for the Devils were:
- Ronald Szpylman - fourth in the 60m in 7.12 seconds
- Sample - fifth in the 60m in 7.13 seconds
- Blake Hageman - seventh in the 60m in 7.26 seconds
- Aiden VanAmburg was third in the 500m in 1:07.93
- Sean Moser - fourth in the 1000m in 1:07.93

Next up for the Devils is the SUNYAC Meet on Feb. 27-28 at Brockport.
