CANTON, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team concluded its 2025-26 season with a 109-87 loss at Canton on Saturday. Senior Ethan Sokolowski went out in style, with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dexter Brooks added 15 points and Martin Garza had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Canton (7-18 / 6-12 SUNYAC) was led by a trio of players that scored 20+ points -- Lateef Johnson, Jr. (29), Jahdeuir Reese (24), and Bryon Streb (22).

The first half was fast paced with the teams combining for 105 points, with Canton taking a 53-51 lead into the locker room. There were four lead changes on the final minute of the first.

Canton increased its output to 56 second-half points, while the Devils netted 36. 

Fredonia State finishes its season at 3-22 overall and 3-15 in SUNYAC play.
