GENEVA, N.Y. -- No. 1 ranked Hobart defeated the Fredonia State men's hockey team for the second time this season, 7-0. Hobart was paced by Dominic Schimizzi with three goals.
However, the Devils' playoff hopes remain alive. As of this moment, the Devils (4-13-1 with 4 OT losses) have 13 points, and Potsdam (4-11-2 with 1 OT loss) has 11. With a Potsdam loss vs. Skidmore (gametime 7 p.m.), the Devils would clinch the eighth-and-final playoff spot.
Potsdam and Fredonia State split SUNYAC the season series 1-1, with Postdam downing the Devils twice in games that were not considered conference contests.

Charles-Anthony Barbeau made 33 saves and gave up six scores in net for Fredonia State, and
Jake Williams made seven stops in just under 12 minutes. Barbeau finished the regular season as the SUNYAC leader in saves. Hobart's Damon Beaver made 19 in earning the shutout.
The Statesmen remained unbeaten at 25-0 and 18-0 SUNYAC.
