CANTON, N.Y. -- The Canton women's basketball team led wire-to-wire in defeating Fredonia State, 65-53, on Saturday. The loss bumps the Devils out of SUNYAC playoff contention. 

The Devils were paced by Payton Gilbert with 11 points and nine rebounds. Grace Alexander and Kailee Bladin added eight apiece.

Canton (19-6 / 12-6 SUNYAC) was led by Kate Grainger with 19 points, and Kat McRobbie-Taru with 14 points and 12 boards.

The Devils conclude their season at 13-12 overall and 8-10 in the SUNYAC.
