LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Fredonia State men's track & field senior Cam Sample finished 20th in the long jump at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Sample entered the championship ranked fifth in the country for division III after recording a mark of 7.41 meters (24 Feet 3.73 Inches). Sample had three attempts in the preliminaries with the top nine competitors making the finals. Sample registered a distance of 6.87m (22 Feet 6.47 Inches) on his first attempt falling just short of the finals.
